АО «78 ДОК Н.М.» is a Nizhny Novgorod-based manufacturer that has been producing glued laminated timber products since 1950, growing into one of Russia's leading wood-processing enterprises by both product range and output volume. Its glued laminated timber structures for Classes 1, 2, and 3 operating conditions cover the full spectrum from interior residential elements through sheltered outdoor assemblies to fully exposed structural members.
Production runs on European-sourced Weinig and Eisenmann equipment. Feedstock is spruce and pine harvested from the northern taiga forests of Kirov, Vologda, Perm, Arkhangelsk, and the Komi Republic during winter months, when sap content is at its lowest.
After sawing, blanks are kiln-dried, treated with antiseptics and fire retardants, then finger-jointed into lamellae. Cross-grain lamination under high-pressure gluing — using Akzo Nobel (Sweden) melamine-based adhesives resistant to heat, moisture, and creep — yields a dimensionally stable structural material that outperforms solid sawn timber in both strength and homogeneity.
Straight beams are produced up to more than 30 metres in a single element, while curved bent-glued arches are manufactured from a minimum radius of curvature of 6 metres, enabling free-span domes, barrel vaults, and arena roofs. All output carries dual certification: GOST R conformity marks for the Russian market and a European quality certificate from Germany's Otto-Graf Institute (Stuttgart), granting the right of export to EU countries.
An in-house adhesive joint strength laboratory underpins every production batch.
