In the framework of cooperation with the world leader of gas turbine construction - Solar Turbines Inc. (USA), a gas pumping unit GPA-5.5 was developed and put into serial production. The unit is designed using the most advanced technologies of the world leader in the gas turbine industry. Application of Taurus 60 - one of the most promising gas turbine engines of Solar Turbines Inc. - as a compressor drive made it possible to achieve excellent technical, economic and environmental characteristics of the GCU. The technological and design solutions implemented in GPA-5.5 make this gas turbine gas pumping unit one of the best in its class.
The unit is designed for use at underground gas storage stations (UGS) and gas transmission via pipelines. GPA-5.5 units are supplied in hangar version.
