The fluoroplastic immersion heat exchanger is designed for heating (vaporisation) or cooling (condensation) of aggressive media. Fluoroplastic is characterised by high resistance to aggressive, corrosive media, hydrophobicity and high dielectric constant. PTFE is resistant to almost all active media. Fluoroplastic heat exchanger is manufactured with heat exchange surface from 0.1 - 45 m2. Pressure in the pipe space at temperature 150°C up to 0,2 MPa. At temperature of 20°C up to 0,6 MPa. In the intertube space 0.1 MPa at 150°C, up to 0.6 MPa at 20°C. Specific heat capacity from 4.4 - 9 KW/m2.
Hydrophobicity of fluoroplastic heat-exchange surface favours reduction of deposits and facilitates their removal, which provides practically constant heat transfer coefficient during the whole period of operation. Electro-insulating properties of fluoroplastic ensure high performance of the apparatus when carrying out electrochemical processes in liquid media.
