The IP 330-1-1 (RO-R ASPZ) is a wireless flame detector certified for underground use, carrying the RO Ex ia I M explosion-protection marking required in mines. Detection uses a three-channel infrared scheme — a 4.4 μm measuring channel referenced against 4.0 and 5.0 μm channels — declared to reliably register TP-5 and TP-6 test fires at 25 meters.
The device is fully autonomous: it runs on a primary ER26500 Li-SOCl2 battery of 19 Ah with a 9 Ah ER14505 backup, communicates over an IEEE 802.15.4 radio interface with up to 400 m line-of-sight range, and is protected to IP65 in an operating range of −20 to +60 °C with Class III electrical safety. Wireless, intrinsically safe detection removes the cabling that makes conventional fire systems impractical in extended mine workings.
Sold from five units, the detector addresses mine safety integrators, mining companies and distributors of Ex-rated fire equipment.
