Optical cable contains a central power element and an outer web of optical modules. The total number of modules is up to 24. Each optical module has up to 36 optical fibres (OF).
Optical modules can be replaced by corded fillers made of glass or polymer yarns insulated with polyethylene or polymer. The total number of single-mode or multimode fibres in the cable is up to 288. Intramodule and intermodule space is filled with hydrophobic compound or other water-blocking material along the entire length.
The hanger of optical modules and cordel fillers is secured with a winding made of glass fibre, textile or polymer threads or tapes. Armour made of corrugated steel laminated tape is applied on top of the veil. On top of the armour there is a polymer sheath made of polyethylene or polymer compound not spreading combustion in case of single or group laying
