Fabric expansion joints are installed on PGVU (dust and gas-air pipelines), serve for compensation of longitudinal and transverse movements caused by thermal expansion of dust and gas-air pipelines.
They are operated at temperatures from 0 to 500 degrees centigrade. They can work with abrasive, e.g. dusty media.
Advantages:
- Reduction of support points, shoring or hangers;
- less material needs to be transported to the construction site;
- easier and cheaper installation, no need for heavy machinery;
- the intrinsic deformation resistance of fabric expansion joints is negligible.
