PENOPLEX® extruded polystyrene foam (XPS) insulation boards are manufactured by PENOPLEX SPb LLC, Russia's first domestically certified producer of XPS thermal insulation and one of the country's most established brands in the segment. The boards are produced by continuous extrusion of general-purpose polystyrene, yielding a fine uniform closed-cell structure that delivers stable, long-term thermal performance under demanding conditions.
Declared thermal conductivity λD reaches no more than 0.034 W/(m·K), with service-condition values of 0.035 W/(m·K) (condition A) and 0.036 W/(m·K) (condition B), ensuring consistent protection across an operating temperature range of −70°C to +75°C. The PENOPLEX 45S grade — the flagship industrial variant — achieves a minimum compressive strength of 420 kPa at 10% linear deformation, making it suitable for high-load civil, industrial, and transport applications including road sub-bases, railway track-beds, foundations, and stylobates.
Twenty-four-hour water absorption is held to ≤0.4% by volume, with long-term full-immersion performance rated WL(T)0.6. Boards are available in multiple edge-treatment profiles: the standard T-15 L-groove (type «T»), straight edge (type «П»), and a railway-specific profile (type «Zh/D») engineered for track-bed insulation geometry.
Manufacturing complies with ТУ 5767-006-56925804-2007 and ГОСТ 32310. The product holds an ISO 9001 quality management certificate, a voluntary compliance certificate, a fire-safety declaration, and an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD).
