The ВА 250–280 series from RUSELPROM-VEMZ are explosion-proof, squirrel-cage induction motors purpose-built for hazardous industrial environments. Manufactured at the Volzhsky Electromechanical Plant (ВЭМЗ) — part of the Ruselprom concern, Russia's foremost electric machine developer — these three-phase asynchronous motors carry the 1ExdIIBT4 explosion-protection certification, qualifying them for all classes of explosive gas, vapor, and dust atmospheres in chemical, oil-and-gas, and refining plants.

Frame sizes 250 and 280 mm deliver synchronous speeds of 750, 1000, 1500, and 3000 rpm at power ratings up to 75 kW, with dual voltage ratings of 220/380 V and 380/660 V supporting both 50 Hz and 60 Hz supply systems. Enclosures achieve IP54 ingress protection as standard (IP55 available on request), and Class F insulation ensures continuous S1-duty reliability across an extensive range of Russian and tropical climatic codes, from Arctic-grade УХЛ1 to tropical Т2 and Т2.5.
