The IQDEMY Evolution 1603 is a wide-format hybrid UV-LED inkjet printer developed and manufactured in Russia by IQDEMY, a company headquartered in Novosibirsk with an international office in Sierre, Switzerland. Built on the Evolution platform that IQDEMY has refined over more than six years of production, the machine is engineered as a reliable industrial workhorse capable of printing on flat rigid substrates and flexible roll materials without reconfiguration.
The 1603 designation reflects the standard three-head, 1600 mm print-width configuration using Ricoh Gen5 printheads, with the carriage expandable to eight heads for higher throughput. Variable-drop technology across 3.5–21 pL enables fine detail alongside dense solid coverage, while three independent vacuum zones secure substrates up to 100 kg and 200 mm thick.
A Bosch Rexroth linear guide beam provides precision carriage movement over long service life. Two water-cooled UV-LED modules fitted with powerful four-chip arrays deliver instant ink curing at all print speeds, including on heat-sensitive and non-thermostable substrates that would be damaged by conventional mercury lamps.
The machine accepts printheads from Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Kyocera, and StarFire, giving buyers flexibility in their ink strategy. A Caldera RIP station is included as standard.
IQDEMY supports the platform with module upgrades available for ten years after purchase, plus operator training, a 3,000-file print-technology image bank, and consulting on facility, staffing, and workflow setup. With over 2,000 IQDEMY printers deployed worldwide, the Evolution series is a well-validated platform across diverse industrial print environments.
