Filling of canals of all groups of teeth. The material belongs to plastic hardening pastes. Hardening of the paste in the canal occurs within 48-72 hours, which, if necessary, gives the possibility of re-filling.
The powder is based on zinc oxide, barium sulphate is used as a radiopaque filler. The powder contains corticoids, which have the property to significantly reduce the number and strength of painful periapical reactions. The antiseptic and corticoids dissolve in organic liquids as gradually as the paste hardens, and therefore exert their therapeutic effect for a limited time.
The antiseptic action of the paste, due to the presence of paraformaldehyde, continues for several hours after filling, which is necessary to sterilise organic residues that may be present in the canals after pulp removal. This action of the paste will subside until it ceases as it hardens.
