The KM-5 heat meters are designed to measure heat energy, volumetric and mass flow rate, volume, mass and parameters of the heat carrier in water heating systems. Additionally, volumetric and mass flow rate, volume, mass and medium parameters can be measured in hot and cold water supply systems.
Modification KM-5-1, should be used for GHS at sources or at consumers and consists of one PRE installed on the supply pipeline, to the electronic block, which should be connected to a set of thermal converters installed on the supply and return pipelines. Additionally, pressure transducers installed on the supply and return pipelines and/or a volume transducer on the DHW or HTW pipelines should also be connected.
KM-5-1 modification should also be used for measurement of heat energy and hot water quantity in TWST and dead-end HTW systems, in this case the set of thermal converters should be replaced by a single thermal converter.
