The STEKLONIT E3-400P is a heavyweight electrical insulation glass fabric produced by STEKLONIT JSC (АО «СТЕКЛОНиТ»), Russia's largest manufacturer of fiberglass-based composite and geosynthetic materials, operating continuously since 1961 from its production facilities in Ufa. The fabric is woven from twisted aluminoborosilicate glass yarns using a plain (tabby) weave construction, resulting in a surface density of 380 ±40 g/m² and a nominal thickness of 0.38 mm.
The balanced weave delivers strong mechanical performance, with a breaking load of 1,700 N per 2.5 cm in the warp direction and 2,400 N per 2.5 cm in the weft direction. The fabric carries a direct-type sizant finish with an ignition loss below 1.1%, making it directly compatible with epoxy, polyester, and other thermoset resin systems without additional surface preparation.
The E3-400P is non-flammable, non-toxic, and non-explosive, and maintains its functional properties across an exceptional temperature range from −200 °C to +550 °C. Production conforms to state standard GOST 19907-2015 and technical specification TU 13.20.46-032-00205009-2017, and STEKLONIT's quality management system is certified to ISO 9001.
