Electric overhead travelling cranes are designed for lifting, lowering and horizontal movement of loads during installation, technological and other works in enclosed spaces and open areas. The overhead electric overhead suspension crane of the KEP type is single-span (double-span) and consists of a span beam travelling along two (three) crane tracks with the help of two (three) end beams attached to it - rigid and hinged (articulated).
Electric overhead travelling crane of the KEO type consists of a span girder (or two span girders) travelling on two crane tracks by means of two end beams attached to it. The crane span beams are I-beams, but may be of different construction depending on the crane span to ensure rigidity and strength.
An electric hoist moves along the span girder. The crane with a hoist is controlled from the floor by a push-button control panel (pendant or radio).
