Fluid current sensors are used to measure axial shear, vibration displacement and radial clearance. Structurally, the sensors consist of a primary transducer (PP) 8V08 with an inductance coil in a dielectric tip, which plays the role of a sensing element, and signal conditioner A301. The signal shaper A301 generates a signal of excitation of the sensor 8V08 and converts the change of the complex resistance of the inductive coil into an electrical signal proportional to the gap between the end of the sensor 8V08 and the surface of the controlled object.
