The Buran-4.1 M is a dry sandblasting machine for cleaning metal surfaces of scale, rust and old paint ahead of protective coating — the surface-preparation step that determines how long any coating actually lasts. The injector-type system works with technical shot and abrasives per GOST 11964 in the 0.5–1.5 mm range, fed from a 25-liter tank chamber, and consumes about 9 m³ of compressed air per unit time at 0.7 MPa working pressure.
The complete unit weighs 190 kg with a 6 kg working head light enough for sustained manual operation, and the machine maintains a permissible noise level of 80 dB. A built-in extraction function with 0.02 MPa suction vacuum recovers spent abrasive and waste, keeping the workspace cleaner than open blasting.
At around 1,500 dollars with a two-unit minimum, the Buran-4.1 M serves shipyards, steel fabricators, pipeline and tank maintenance crews, and coating contractors preparing metal to specification.
