The transfer reducer is mounted in the lower part of the gearbox and is designed to transmit torque to the middle and rear axles of the motor grader. The drive is carried out through cardan shafts connected to the flanges of the transfer reducer. The reducer consists of a housing and cover jointly machined with each other. They are connected to each other through a gasket by bolts. Inside the housing are installed on roller bearings in a row of four shafts (upper, two intermediate and lower) on which by means of keys and splines installed two pairs of gears made of alloy steel 25XGT, located in a row and are in constant mesh with each other.
The lower shaft is mounted on tapered bearings, its installation is made by means of adjusting shims. Lubrication is carried out by splashing. The upper shaft is connected to the gearbox by means of a half coupling.
The shafts are made of 40X steel. The warranty period is 1500 motor-hours.
