In the design of current-limiting reactors of our production, the wire in the winding is placed in the grooves of fibreglass strips and securely fixed by the strips of the next layer. Then the strips are fastened together by studs, forming "columns", as in concrete reactors.
Slots in the strips ensure cooling of the winding in axial and radial directions. The winding method does not require transposition.
