The Splitstone CS-1810E is an electric walk-behind joint cutter built for sawing expansion and construction joints in asphalt, concrete and reinforced-concrete pavements and floors. Because it runs on a 7.5 kW three-phase 380 V electric motor (AIR 112 M2) instead of a petrol engine, it produces no exhaust and is the manufacturer's recommended choice for enclosed spaces — warehouses, parking structures, production halls and tunnels.
The machine accepts diamond blades up to 500 mm in diameter on a 25.4 mm arbor and reaches a maximum cutting depth of 190 mm, deep enough for full-depth joints in heavy industrial floors. Power is transferred through a triple V-belt drive (XPZ 937), and an onboard water tank feeds the blade for wet cutting, suppressing dust and extending diamond tool life.
With an operating weight of 172 kg (192 kg with a full water tank) and compact transport dimensions of 1050 x 720 x 875 mm, the cutter is stable in the cut yet manageable to move between sites. Splitstone is a Russian manufacturer of compact road-construction machinery and diamond tools with 25 years on the market; by its own account its machines make up about 60% of the joint-cutter fleet operating in Russia, so spare parts and service documentation are readily available.
