Designed to compensate for the lost aesthetic parameters of the upper limb (according to the level of amputation).
The prosthesis shall consist of a cosmetic moulding shell placed directly on the finger residual limb. The prosthesis shall have an internal receiving cavity ending in a spherical support pad and a slotted recess. The support pad should retain the prosthesis by increasing the contact area with the residual limb, while the slotted recess should contribute to the transverse elasticity of the prosthesis. The proximal edges of the receiving cavity should be flattened. The thickness of the finger wall at the end of the main phalanx should be 1-1.5 mm. The attachment of the prosthesis to the finger residual limb should be achieved by the vacuum created by the elastic material in full contact with the residual limb. A glove, ring, or make-up glue can be used for additional fixation of the prosthetic finger.
