1. The corrosion rate sensor transmitter is a part of the means for controlling the efficiency of electrochemical protection of underground metal structures against corrosion and is used for operational monitoring of corrosion processes.
2. The device is designed for maintenance of SSC corrosion rate sensors (hereinafter referred to as SSC) manufactured according to TU 3435-012-51996521-2014. The device allows to realise remote control of corrosion rate and depth of corrosion of protected underground metal structures.
3. The device performs:
- scanning of the state of the SSC indication element;
- fixation of information in the internal non-volatile memory of the SSC about the current state of the indication element;
- calculation of the total depth and corrosion rate;
- information exchange with telemetry system via RS-485 interface specification in accordance with ModBus ASCII or RTU protocol.
