Copper-sulphate non-polarising stationary reference electrodes (MES.PTM) are used in electrochemical protection systems of Transneft facilities to measure polarisation and total potentials on underground steel pipelines and structures, as well as in water, in the medium of aqueous electrolyte solution - bottom water from watered oil, oil, diesel fuel, gas condensate, fuel oil, vacuum gas oil.
Copper-sulphate reference electrodes are made in a single-membrane version, consisting of:
-copper electrode;
-saturated solution of copper (II) 5-water sulfuric acid according to GOST 19347 or its gel solution;
-auxiliary electrode (AE);
-contact unit (ion-exchange ceramic (or polymer) membrane, which is a porous diaphragm);
-casing (cup);
-cable outlet with cable.
Type of climatic condition "O" cat. placement 5 according to GOST 15150 for ambient temperature from -5 °C to +45 °C.
