The airlock cabin is a controlled barrier device (CBD) consisting of a barrier structure and actuating devices and provides:
- complete blocking of the passage opening;
- semi-automatic and manual (in emergency situations) opening of doors;
- blocking of the intruder inside the control centre.
The airlock cabin provides protection against simultaneous passage of two or more persons.
The airlock cabin together with ACS equipment is designed for:
- organising authorised entry to and exit from protected areas and premises using: contactless access card, human weight measurement, individual PIN code, biometric parameters, control of attempted removal of nuclear materials, control of presence of trace amounts of explosives on human fingers;
- prevention of unauthorised access to protected areas and premises.
