The Cold Vessel (M) closed-type milk cooling installation is produced by Milk Technologies LLC, a Russian manufacturer founded in 2010 in Kovrov that specialises in dairy and livestock equipment and has delivered more than 4 400 units to farms and processing plants across Russia. The 10 000-litre model belongs to the company's flagship frameless series: the inner stainless-steel tank sits inside a sealed outer shell on a "barrel-in-barrel" principle, providing exceptional thermal insulation that reduces compressor cycles and extends service life.
The installation maintains milk at 4 °C with a storage accuracy of ±1 °C, and cools a half-load in no more than three hours. At 380 V supply, peak power draw reaches 14.4 kW.
A two-tier evaporator, driven by internal level sensors, independently activates or deactivates the upper row of evaporator plates depending on how full the tank is, preventing ice formation on exposed walls and protecting the compressor from liquid refrigerant carry-over. The inner vessel is made of 2.5 mm food-grade stainless steel, and all refrigerant tubing inside the unit is stainless as well.
Standard equipment includes a computerised touch-panel controller, an automatic smart-wash (CIP) system, two agitators, and a 50 mm disk drain valve with a surrounding nozzle that allows tool-free switching between milk dispensing and washing modes. A breather valve with a protective mesh equalises internal pressure and prevents insect ingress during filling and discharge.
