Complete machining of a part in one set-up eliminates the basing errors that occur with traditional technology. Concentration of operations on one machine allows to achieve considerable savings due to the refusal to manufacture special tooling for workpiece basing at adjacent operations.
It is possible to perform the following operations on the machine in one installation: external turning of cylindrical and shaped surfaces; boring, drilling, reaming of holes coaxial to the spindle axis, as well as radial, tangential and angled holes; threading in holes; milling.
