The SSD (Svyazstroydetal) ШКТ-НП is a floor-standing climate-controlled telecommunications cabinet in the 19-inch (482.6 mm) rack format, designed specifically for deploying active and passive telecom equipment in harsh outdoor and industrial environments. Manufactured to the Russian GOST 28601.2-90 standard (equivalent to IEC 297), the 42U configuration accommodates a full rack of network and communications hardware while protecting it against extreme weather and physical stress.
The cabinet operates across a temperature range of –45 °C to +40 °C with relative humidity up to 98% at –25 °C, earning a У1 climate rating (with optional УХЛ1 designation per GOST 15150-69). Installation is flexible: the unit can be anchored to a technical room floor, bolted to an outdoor concrete foundation via four M16 base anchors, or mounted on rooftops.
The factory-welded one-piece steel frame requires no on-site assembly, enabling rapid deployment. Reinforced bracket connections give the frame exceptional rigidity, supporting distributed loads of 600–800 kg/m².
The double-layer ventilated door and ventilated roof are each fitted with internal filters to prevent dust accumulation. Cable routing is managed through bottom entries, vertical rack rails are depth-adjustable, and all metalwork is bonded into a unified protective grounding circuit.
The cabinet achieves IP65 in its standard configuration (IP55 when a fan module or air conditioner is fitted), ensuring long-term reliability in demanding environments. The finish is an impact-resistant powder-coat polymer-epoxy in grey RAL 7035.
