Cantilever crane - a crane in which the load-carrying device (hoist), moves on a pivoting console (boom) fixed on the crane column or column / wall of the building. The swing radius of the boom can be up to 360°.
The swing radius can be limited by means of the crane design, limit switches and rigid stops. If desired, any angle of rotation of the jib can be set.
Cantilever cranes are used less frequently than overhead cranes, as this type of crane is purchased to fulfil a specific production task, for example, in a turning area to feed a part to a lathe. The design of the crane is selected based on the location and production tasks for which the crane is purchased.
