The Buran 50KD is a powder fire suppression module designed to protect industrial and storage premises by automatically discharging extinguishing powder over a fire source. Carrying a nominal 48 kg charge of powder effective against Class A (solids), Class B (liquids) and Class C (gases) fires, the module uses a gas-generating device to create discharge pressure — there is no permanently pressurised vessel, which simplifies transport, storage and certification logistics for export shipments.
The unit measures roughly 928 mm high by 300 mm in diameter and operates across an exceptionally wide temperature range from -50 to +50 °C, allowing installation in unheated warehouses, northern logistics terminals, energy facilities and outdoor technological installations. After actuation the module is rechargeable rather than disposable, reducing lifetime cost of the fire-protection system.
Powder modules of this class are typically deployed as autonomous self-triggering protection or integrated into a facility's alarm-activated suppression network. With a minimum order of 20 units at factory pricing, the Buran 50KD addresses fire-safety integrators, industrial contractors and distributors equipping warehouses, substations and production halls where water-based systems are impractical.
