The ZSh-1-2M is a high-protection assault ballistic helmet with integrated visor, manufactured by NPP KLASS (AO NPP «KlASS»), Moscow — Russia's largest developer and producer of personal body armor since 1990. The helmet delivers Class Br 2 ballistic protection against pistol-caliber threats and anti-fragmentation resistance of V50% ≥ 750 m/s.

Its bullet-resistant visor withstands direct hits from 9 mm Makarov pistol (PM) rounds at a distance of just 5 meters, providing full-face coverage in close-quarters combat scenarios. The ZSh-1-2M is available in two sizes: Size 1 (head circumference 54–60 cm, shell area 13.6 dm², weight 3.5 kg / 3.7 kg with radio) and Size 2 (58–64 cm, shell area 15.0 dm², weight 3.8 kg / 4.0 kg with radio).

The suspension system uses adjustable strap-type retention with a quick-release chin strap; the chinstrap pad is made from high-grade genuine leather. On request, the helmet can be fitted with an integrated helmet radio headset compatible with any radio type.

Standard delivery includes a protective cover, a removable balaclava (barmitsa), and a carrying container. Helmet with Visor — Front View

The ZSh-1-2M in olive protective cover with the bullet-resistant visor raised. The visor is bolted to the shell via reinforced side mounts and can be lowered to provide full-face Br 2 coverage against 9 mm PM rounds at 5 m.

Camouflage Cover Variant

The same helmet fitted with a multicam-pattern fabric cover included in the standard kit. The cover conceals the shell's surface while preserving access to all visor hardware and retention adjustments.

Visor Down — Field Position
