The Bolero-6.4 is a rear-mounted inter-row cultivator manufactured by Kuban Railway Machinery OJSC (АО «Кубаньжелдормаш»), an engineering plant operating in the Kuban region of Russia since 1933. The machine is built for precision inter-row tillage of high-stem row crops—sunflower, corn, sugar beet, potato, and pumpkin—across all phases of vegetation from first emergence through late canopy closure.
In the standard 70 cm row configuration the implement carries nine independently mounted cultivation sections, each fitted with S-shaped spring-flex bracket supports terminating in arrow-shaped sweeps; for 45 cm rows the frame reconfigures to thirteen sections covering twelve rows simultaneously. Working width of the folded-out frame is 6,400 mm (hence the model designation), with an effective cultivation sweep of 5.6 m; productivity reaches up to 5.6 hectares per hour at working speeds up to 10 km/h.
Treatment depth is adjustable between 3 and 10 cm via support-wheel regulation, with per-section fine-tuning to hold a uniform cutting horizon across the full width. The entire welded steel frame structure weighs 1,350 kg and requires a tractor of at least 80 hp.
Hydraulic cylinders fold the wing sections inward for transport, reducing width to 2,500 mm and raising height to 3,200 mm for safe road movement—no disassembly needed. A modular fertilizer application attachment is offered as an add-on.
The machine is produced under a 12-month factory warranty and is positioned as a domestically manufactured counterpart to the Austrian Hatzenbichler inter-row cultivator line.
