The BDM-5×4P (Сура-5×4П скл.) is a modernized trailed, hydraulically folding disc harrow produced by DORMASH OJSC of Saransk, Russia — a manufacturer with more than 15 years of experience in agricultural machinery. The machine carries 52 spherical notched discs across four rows, each disc mounted on its own independent stand and tapered-roller bearing assembly.
This individual mounting is the defining engineering advantage: discs cannot foul with straw or green biomass, allowing uninterrupted operation on fields loaded with post-harvest residue. Working width is 5,350 mm, and adjustable cutting depth ranges from 80 to 150 mm, controlled by changing the row attack angle between 0° and 30°.
The harrow operates at speeds up to 12 km/h and delivers output of up to 70 hectares per 8-hour shift. The folding centre-wing frame collapses hydraulically to 3,900 mm wide for road travel at up to 20 km/h.
Three spiral coil-rollers follow the disc rows to level, crumble, and consolidate the worked layer. The harrow is manufactured under technical specification ТУ 4732-001-48652686-2009 and is supplied with a 12-month warranty.
Discs are available in 560 mm BELLOTA (imported) or equivalent domestic versions.
