The ROST automatic tray sealer is a CNC-controlled packaging machine that seals film lids onto pre-formed food trays, the format used for ready meals, fresh meat, salads and dairy portions. Built almost entirely from stainless steel for washdown hygiene, the machine automates the full seal cycle — tray infeed, film placement, heat sealing and discharge — so output no longer depends on manual sealing speed or consistency.
The line measures 2,800 mm long by 1,100 mm wide and 1,600 mm high, weighs about 950 kg, and is supplied in a configuration agreed with the customer, letting processors match tooling to their tray formats. Automatic tray sealing is typically the step that moves a food producer from local manual packing to retail-ready output with consistent seal integrity and shelf-life control.
At around 9,000 dollars per machine, the ROST offers that capability at a price far below Western European tray-sealing lines, with single-unit availability.
