GPA-16 is an automated gas pumping unit of block-container design with a nominal capacity of 16 MW, developed as part of the development of the programme of cooperation with PJSC Gazprom. The unit is designed to replace morally and physically obsolete gas pumping units, as well as for new construction.
The GPA-16 unit is powered by NK-38ST (Kuznetsov, Samara), AL-31ST (UMPO, Ufa) and PS-90GP-2 (ODK-Aviaadvigatel, Perm) engines. All gas turbine engines have high efficiency indicators.
For the first time in the GPA design a technical solution was introduced to supply GTU with fuel gas taken directly from the compressor inlet.
The unit is manufactured in maximum factory readiness and with a minimum number of shipping locations. This design reduces the costs of transport and installation of the unit at the reconstruction site.
The container of the unit allows to place a gas turbine engine and a 25 MW centrifugal compressor with minimal modifications. The design provides for an integrated stationary flushing unit of the gas-air path and lifting and transport devices.
The unit favourably differs from its analogues in operation and maintenance in harsh climatic conditions. During the development of GPA-16 all conditions of future operation were taken into account - climate peculiarities, fire and environmental safety requirements, as well as the possibility of installation on existing foundations.
