Anode earth electrodes (EA) are electrodes or a chain of electrodes designed for use as grounding elements in installations of cathodic protection of metal structures against corrosion in soils of medium and high corrosivity, as well as under water. AZ is a non-disassembled construction, depending on the order, consisting of one or several tubular electrodes, contact assemblies and conductive cable. The coating of mixed metal oxides on the working surface of the electrodes ensures the lifetime of the AZ up to 30 years at nominal/maximum current densities of 65/80 A/m2 (coating type 1) in sand, soil, fresh water and at nominal/maximum current densities of 400/480 A/m2 (coating type 2) in sea water.
