The AA-8.5/(30-60)(4320) is an airport rescue and firefighting vehicle (ARFF) manufactured by Autotechnics LLC (ООО «АвтоТехника»), a specialist special-purpose vehicle builder based in Miass, Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia. The vehicle is designed to deliver a fire crew, water, foam concentrate, and firefighting equipment directly to aircraft emergencies, then suppress fires using water or air-mechanical foam.
It is built on the Ural 4320-72 all-wheel-drive chassis with a 6×6 drive train, giving it the cross-country mobility needed to reach any point on an airfield quickly. The main water tank and a 700-litre stainless-steel foam concentrate reservoir are kept ready for immediate use by dual Thermo E 320 liquid heaters rated at 20 kW each, allowing reliable deployment in temperatures as low as –45 °C.
The heart of the firefighting system is the НЦПН-70/100 single-stage centrifugal pump, which delivers up to 70 litres per second at a 100-metre head. Firefighters can direct water or foam through a rear-mounted ЛС-С50У turret monitor with a solid-stream range exceeding 60 metres, or through a remote-controlled bumper-mounted ЛСД-С20У turret that can be operated from inside the cab or from outside the vehicle.
A built-in runway foam blanket system incorporating eight ГПС-600 foam generators covers a strip at least 8 metres wide in a single pass. A carbon dioxide suppression system with 80-litre cylinders is fitted for engine-bay fires.
The vehicle complies with GOST 15150 (climate category U, placement category 1) and GOST 12.4.009, confirming suitability for open-air service from –45 °C to +40 °C.
