Air separators (gas separators) with filters are installed in the pipeline before flow meters, liquid counters and other measuring devices. They remove all vapours, air and mechanical inclusions from the pipeline system.
Filtration of mechanical inclusions prolongs the life of measuring devices, and gas separation increases the accuracy of measurements, which is especially important in commercial metering. It is also very important to have laminar fuel flow for critical facilities where a break in fuel flow can lead to an emergency shutdown.
