Description

The REM-5 is a universal single-column electromechanical testing machine built by METROTEST LLC, a Russian manufacturer of materials-testing equipment including universal testing machines, hardness testers, impact pendulums and testing presses. Designed and produced to GOST 28840-90, the machine performs tension, compression and bending tests on specimens of rubber, plastics and polymers, wood, textiles, nonwovens, metal sheet and foil, as well as finished articles such as fasteners, tubes, cords, electrical components and medical products.

The single-column REM family covers test loads up to 5 kN, with the REM-5 occupying the top of that range: its load measurement range is 0.2 to 5 kN with a relative load-measurement error within ±1.0%. A servo-driven loading system positions the moving crosshead at speeds from 0.05 to 500 mm/min and holds the programmed test speed within ±5%, while crosshead displacement is measured to ±50 µm over the 0.05–10 mm range and ±0.5% beyond.

REM machines are registered in the State Register of Measuring Instruments of Russia (No. 76470-19), Kazakhstan and Belarus, and carry a Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade conclusion (No.

123526/10 of 17.11.2023) confirming domestic manufacture. Each machine ships with a force module, control pendant, strain-gauge load cell, technical documentation, primary verification certificate and a Quality Mark certificate for testing equipment.

Machine Overview

REM-5 test station

Single-column REM-5 frame with the operator workstation: in the automated REM-A configuration a PC with MTest-REM-2.15 software and a printer control the test and output protocols.

Single-column frame

The rigid single-column design carries the servo-driven moving crosshead, covering test loads up to 5 kN within a compact laboratory footprint.
