The Topaz-2o-8E is a managed industrial Fast Ethernet switch produced by Angstrem-Telecom OJSC, a Russian developer and manufacturer of telecommunications equipment operating since 2001 and registered in the Minpromtorg (Ministry of Industry and Trade) registry of Russian-made industrial products. Built for DIN-rail installation, the switch delivers two 1000Base-X optical SFP uplink ports and eight 100Base-TX copper access ports in a compact enclosure rated for –40 to +70°C operation.
Power is supplied from a 24 V or 48 V DC source (accepted range 20–70 V DC) with maximum consumption of 8 W, and a redundant power-supply input ensures continuous operation under harsh field conditions. The unit is designed to IEC 61850-3 electromagnetic compatibility requirements and withstands industrial-grade vibration and shock as well as corrosive environments, making it suitable for substations, transport infrastructure, and outdoor cabinet deployments.
Four dry-contact pairs allow the switch to monitor connected field sensors. Management is available through Console (RS-232), Telnet, SSH, web interface, and SNMP v1/v2c/v3, while security functions include IEEE 802.1x port and MAC-based authentication, ACL (up to 512 rules), RADIUS, TACACS+, Dynamic ARP Inspection, and DoS-prevention mechanisms.
Link redundancy is handled by RSTP and MSTP; channel aggregation by LACP. The AngtelOS embedded software is registered in the Russian Mintsifry software registry, supporting import substitution requirements.
