The SD1-4-350 is a four-axis educational robotic manipulator developed and manufactured entirely in Russia by SAGA Robotics JSC — a Moscow-based company that has been designing industrial robots and automation systems since 2007. Purpose-built for vocational education, the robot introduces schoolchildren and university students to the fundamentals of industrial robotics, giving them hands-on experience with manipulator kinematics, coordinate programming, and real-world automation tasks.
The arm reaches 350 mm, carries payloads up to 500 g, and achieves a repeatability accuracy of 0.2 mm — figures that mirror entry-level industrial equipment. Stepper motors drive all four axes, with independent rotation ranges of 180°, 125°, 140°, and 180° respectively.
A robust aluminum frame houses the mechanism, which operates from a 12 V DC supply at 100 W. The SD1-4-350 ships with a comprehensive accessory kit: a mechanical gripper, pneumatic suction cup, pencil/marker holder, laser engraving attachment (with protective eyewear), a 3D-printing hotend with filament feeder and glass bed, a remote control, and a wireless communication module — giving instructors and students a wide range of practical scenarios to explore without additional hardware purchases.
