Description
The direct drive generator is one of the main components of a wind power plant (hereinafter - WPP), converting the mechanical energy of wind wheel rotation into electrical energy. The generator is equipped with an external stator and an internal rotor. The stator and rotor are mounted on the main bearing. The main bearing is mounted on the nacelle frame, and the rotating part is rigidly connected to the hub with blades. During the rotation of the hub with blades, the inner rotor with permanent magnets rotates inside the stator with windings and is cooled by the rushing air flow.
