The KTPN (Outdoor Complete Transformer Substation) is a factory-assembled, kiosk-type power distribution unit produced by ESKONT LLC (ООО «ЭСКОНТ»), a Russian manufacturer of electrical equipment headquartered in Dagestan. The company specialises in transformer substations, switchgear, and related electrical products, offering more than 25 equipment types for industrial and utility customers across Russia.
ESKONT markets this product family as БКТП/КТПН — a compact outdoor enclosure that integrates the high-voltage input section, a step-down power transformer, and the low-voltage distribution panel into one self-contained unit, eliminating the need for a dedicated substation building. Available with transformer ratings from 25 to 2500 kVA, the KTPN operates on a 10 kV (or 6 kV) high-voltage supply and steps down to 0.4 kV on the distribution side.
The HV main-circuit rated current reaches up to 630 A, and the enclosure is rated for an electrodynamic withstand current of no less than 25 kA. The HV inlet is air-connected, while the LV output supports both air and cable configurations for installation flexibility.
Climatic compliance is certified to GOST 15150-69 (version У1), covering ambient temperatures from −50 °C to +45 °C and altitudes up to 1,000 m above sea level. The unit footprint is 1,180 × 1,300 mm with a height of 2,810–2,995 mm.
Declared service life is no less than 30 years.
