The R1-KS-320 (КСН-320) is a chain scraper conveyor manufactured by AO Melinvest, a Nizhny Novgorod engineering company with over 160 years of continuous operation in the grain processing machinery industry. Designed for horizontal and mildly inclined transport of grain and grain-derived products, the conveyor features a 320 mm galvanized steel trough, a maximum throughput of 100 tonnes per hour, and a rated transport distance of up to 50 metres.
The traction chain runs at 0.8 m/s with a scraper pitch of 200 mm, delivering a steady, even grain flow. A key differentiator is the use of polymer scrapers in place of metal ones: the reduced friction coefficient prevents wear marks on the trough surface, lowers the mechanical impact on individual grain kernels, eases the load on bearing assemblies and the traction chain, and cuts noise levels inside the building.
The trough is galvanized for corrosion resistance, and the drive incorporates a safety coupling to protect against overloads. The conveyor is produced to GOST-15150 in climatic version "U", category 3, making it suitable for outdoor service and unheated buildings in the −10 °C to +45 °C range.
In 2017 the entire KS scraper conveyor series from Melinvest received the EU Declaration of Conformity, confirming compliance with European Union technical regulations. Standard lengths run from 4 to 50 metres; custom lengths and capacities are calculated individually on request.
