The R:ED X Robotics Construction Kit is a programmable educational set developed by School of Robotics Saint Petersburg (Школа Робототехники СПБ), a Russian integrator of engineering-technology learning solutions that has equipped over 3,000 schools and trained more than 50,000 children since its founding. Conceived by a multinational team of specialists from Russia, Singapore, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, and China, R:ED X is manufactured in Russia and is listed in the national industrial products registry.
The kit complies with Ministry of Education orders No. 804, No.
838, and No. 1057, making it directly eligible for Federal education programs including Точка роста, Кванториум, and IT-куб.
The set comprises 400 plastic structural and mechanical components — beams, connectors, gears, and mounting blocks — weighing approximately 1 kg and recommended for children from age 7. Central to the kit is a 32-bit programmable controller operating on 5–12 V with 10 digital ports, 10 analog ports, four DC motor ports, integrated Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, an accelerometer, and USB Type-C connectivity.
Included sensors cover ultrasonic ranging, color detection, infrared, and button input, while DC motors, servo motors, an RGB LED, and a passive buzzer round out the electronics. Students program robots in R:ED CODE — a Scratch-based visual block environment — or advance to Arduino IDE and C++ as their skills grow.
Core electronic components carry a one-year warranty.
