The Aurora Swing Door (Аврора Распашная) is a purpose-built passenger traction elevator from MLM Nevsky Lift LLC, a Saint Petersburg manufacturer established in 2015 as a joint venture between the renowned Belarusian elevator producer OAO Mogilevliftmash and Russian company MLM Neva Trade. Production of the Aurora series launched at the company's own assembly facility in the Kolpino district of Saint Petersburg in 2020, targeting a well-defined gap in the market: historic residential buildings throughout St.
Petersburg and other Russian cities where century-old shaft cross-sections are too narrow for conventional sliding-door lifts.
The Aurora Swing Door's defining engineering innovation is the combination of automatic central-opening folding cabin doors with semi-automatic swing shaft doors. This pairing allows a door clear opening of 650–850 mm while fitting a substantially larger cabin cross-section into the same shaft envelope — enabling like-for-like shaft replacement of worn-out low-capacity equipment without structural reconstruction.
The product range spans load capacities from 400 kg to 1,000 kg, with travel speeds up to 1.6 m/s and machine-room architecture for reliable long-term operation. It is manufactured in compliance with GOST 33984.1-2016, the current Russian standard for electric passenger elevators.
