The LB-20P is an industrial barrier-type washer-extractor manufactured by VMZ (Vyazemsky Mashinostroitelny Zavod) in Vyazma, Russia — a company specializing in professional laundry equipment for institutional and industrial sectors. The machine processes 20 kg of linen per cycle (at a volumetric module of 10 dm³/kg), with a geometric drum volume of 200 dm³ and a drum diameter of 720 mm.
As a true barrier machine, it separates the dirty-linen intake zone from the clean-linen discharge zone across a dividing wall — a hygiene requirement for hospitals, nuclear facilities, chemical plants, and electronics manufacturers where cross-contamination between soiled and laundered items must be strictly prevented. The LB-20P variant uses steam heating (steam pressure 0.2–0.4 MPa, specific steam consumption ≤0.9 kg/kg), resulting in exceptionally low specific energy consumption of just 0.065 kWh/kg.
Wash cycles are managed automatically through an INVT touchscreen controller capable of storing up to 999 programs. A variable-frequency drive ensures smooth drum acceleration and braking, while the two-support spring-suspended frame keeps vibration and noise to a minimum.
At the end of each cycle the drum reaches 863.3 rpm (G-factor 300), reducing residual moisture to no more than 50 % and eliminating the need for a separate centrifuge. Both the inner drum and all external paneling are made from stainless steel.
The machine weighs 708 kg and connects to a 400 V, 3-phase supply.
