This knitted artificial fur with a pile of wool and synthetic fibers is produced by TEKSALANA LLC, a Russian manufacturer based in Volokolamsk, Moscow Region, that has specialized in knitted faux fur since 2004. The company runs a full production cycle built on Italian technologies — from raw-material selection to final finishing — which allows it to keep quality under control at every stage.
The defining feature of the fabric is its high share of natural wool in the pile: depending on the customer's specification, the wool content can reach 100%, with only a minimal addition of synthetic fibers for stability. Key parameters are made to order: pile shear height, density, impregnation stiffness and finish type can all be adapted to the buyer's product.
Available finishes include smooth-sheared, polished and tumbled fur with varying degrees of curl, as well as knitted-in pile, and jacquard patterns can be worked into the fabric for decorative effect. The material is used by manufacturers of clothing, footwear and home textiles, both as a lining and as an outer-facing material.
TEKSALANA's products are certified and meet the requirements of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg), which matters in particular for producers of workwear and special-purpose footwear. Small production runs to individual requirements are available, making the fabric accessible to mid-size and niche garment makers as well as large factories.
