Gas turbine engine NK-16-18ST is designed for use as a blower drive for gas pumping unit GPA-C-16 and GPA-16 "Volga". It is developed on the basis of aircraft engine NK-8-2U ser.2. The engine NK-16-18-ST ser.2 has a hydromechanical control system. The engine is manufactured both from new parts and assemblies and with the use of parts and assemblies of aircraft engines of the NK-8 family that have outlived their service life in flight operation.
