"Pipeline protection device against induced alternating current is designed to protect pipelines from the influence of alternating current sources, to reduce dangerous voltage "pipe-ground" for safe work of service personnel. PPCPs are installed in places where there is a dangerous influence of AC sources on the pipeline. The use of Earthing Devices is only in accordance with the design solution and is not limited to the above mentioned cases. The earthing device consists of horizontal earth electrodes, vertical earth electrodes or a combination of both. The number of earth electrodes as well as the number of sections in each of them shall be determined by calculation."
