Low Voltage Complete Control Device for Excavator Electric Drives NKU-10MK - Efficient Motor Management

Low-voltage complete control device for electric drives of mining excavators of NKUE-10MK type is designed for controlling excitation of motors and generators of the main drives operating under G-D system, power supply of operational and auxiliary control circuits of drives on excavators EKG-8, EKG-10, EKG-12, EKG-15. Reversible transistor exciters with microprocessor control are used instead of magnetic amplifiers and thyristor circuits to control excitation of main drive motors. Soft start and automatic regulation of excitation current of SDs depending on load are used. A distributed microprocessor-based data acquisition and control system is used to control the relay contactor circuit. Compact resistive or joystick controllers are used instead of cam contact and selsine QCs, which provide smooth change of the set point.
