IGBO allows to solve the following tasks:

- Ensuring the safety of the echo sounder,
- Determination of object coordinates and depth, Dimension estimation,
- Scientific, engineering and environmental monitoring,
- Preparation and support of construction of various hydraulic structures (HS) - ports, hydroelectric power stations, dams, bridges, etc.
- Bathymetric area survey,
- Execution of measurement works by classical method with the help of inbuilt echo sounder or with instrumental estimation for detection of anomalies between transects.
