Frequency Converter PCh-18-U1 for Optimizing Air Conditioner Performance

The converter ??-18-?1 built into the design of the air conditioner is designed for frequency control of the speed of the asynchronous electric motor of the compressor, which is a part of the air conditioning and ventilation unit of passenger cars with autonomous power supply and electric trains. The converter provides conversion of DC voltage 87...142 V into AC voltage with adjustable frequency. IF-18-U1 is installed on passenger cars manufactured by GDR factory "Ammen-Dorf" during their overhaul and modernisation at Voronezh and Tambov car repair plants for power supply of climatic installation "BSC" (Baltic Air Conditioning Systems) and "DOCON" (Domodedovo air conditioners).

Structurally, the converter is designed as a small-sized unit with liquid cooling and a sliding part, which provides convenience in maintenance and repair. There are 227 units in operation.
